2025 Children’s Vision Screening Results

With great pleasure we share our official results from the Children’s Vision Screening Program in 2025.

In 2025 we saw a 28% increase in overall screening numbers compared to the previous year, with a record breaking 19,240 children receiving a free vision screening. Just over 20% of those screened were referred to an optometrist for further testing, showing that around 1 in 5 children have an undetected vision problem that can have a huge impact on their learning and development.

2025 also saw 155 children screened in New Zealand as we launched the program outside of Australia for the first time.
